Ben Lee - (Set time: 9:15 PM)
Ben Lee
Hi friends.

My name is Ben. I was born in Sydney, Australia on September 11, 1978.

I began making music professionally at 14 years old, with my teenage punk band Noise Addict. Some time after that, I also began making solo albums, more acoustically-driven. I have released many albums over the years, side projects, music for tv, movies, commercials, as well as produced other artists.

I began my career in the music industry hungry for fame, attention and validation. With time, effort, failure and success, I gradually lost interest in these goals, and I now continue for different reasons.

It's hard to explain my relationship to music and songwriting (I imagine it would be difficult for most musicians), but it is a very intimate and profound relationship. For almost 25 years now, I have felt an intense and unrelenting urgency to make music, to attempt to manifest in word and sound that which exists deep within my heart and mind.

As my spiritual pursuits became more central to my life, my music naturally became an extension of these interests.

My music has often been both an exploration and a diary of my attempts to open my own heart and mind. There have been victories and failures, successes and missteps, but I have always sought truth and documented my findings, attempting to share what I have learned with my community and audience. From this space, of earnest and sincere exploration, I hope to be able to inspire others to feel more courageous as they move towards their own awakening.

As my life has unfolded I have also found other ways of making small contributions to the project of awakening consciousness. I have been asked to speak more often lately, to groups larger or smaller, about my journey, the lessons I have learned and am currently learning. I have also enjoyed working with various charitable projects over the years, and more recently in the realm of ethical business coaching and essential oils with my wife as a part of Skye Lee Essential Oils.

Thank you for your interest in my work, and thank you for your openness and willingness to step into a world of infinite possibility with me!
The Silver Lake Chorus - (Set time: 8:45 PM)
The Silver Lake Chorus
THE SILVER LAKE CHORUS performs choral arrangements of indie music and exudes both the edgy, independent spirit of Silver Lake and the heart of community choral singing.

TSLC’s upcoming album, produced by Aussie crooner Ben Lee, features rare and new tracks written exclusively for the chorus by the likes of Sia, Aimee Mann, The Bird and the Bee, Tegan and Sara, Ben Lee, The New Pornographers, Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie), John Roderick (The Long Winters), The Flaming Lips, and Justin Vernon (Bon Iver).

TSLC regularly performs live in and around Los Angeles and can also be heard singing the theme song for the SNL feature film MACGRUBER as well as backup vocals on Andy Samberg and Akon’s single, “I Just Had Sex.”
Falls - (Set time: 7:50 PM)
Falls
They met. They fell in love. They wrote songs.
They fought. They made up. They broke up. They wrote songs.

At a time when for most it would be the end of a relationship, for Sydney duo Falls it was just the beginning. Every Wednesday night for almost two years, Falls played at a little hotel in Sydney called the Hollywood. It’s there that they found their sound and where they wrote the songs that would become their debut EP Into The Fire.

In this intimate setting, the connection between these two onstage was palpable. Their emotionally fueled live performances drawing rave reviews, with the Sydney Morning Herald noting “their voices sit next to each other like they’ve been pouring from the same pot of tea for years”.

In late 2013, Falls caught the ear of Universal Music Group’s Verve Records. Upon signing to the label they moved to the US and have spent the past 12 months traversing the country playing shows and falling in love with the landscape and it’s people.

Having toured with The Lumineers, Passenger and Of Monsters and Men, Falls are fast developing an impressive live resume which also includes performances at Sundance Film Festival, SXSW, CMJ, Bumbershoot, Loufest, The Americana Music Festival and most recently Austin City Limits.

The band are now spending the winter in Omaha Nebraska where they are putting the finishing touches on their debut album with producer Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes, First Aid Kit, She & Him, M. Ward) – due out through Verve in 2015.

With an unmistakable sound, barefoot collaborators and best friends Falls are gently making a name for themselves.
