Fool's Gold - (Set time: 10:00 PM)
Fool's Gold
The well-traveled LA based five piece band FOOL’S GOLD have released the official music video for their new single “I’m in Love,” along with announcing their new album Flying Lessons, out on April 18th (Record Store Day) via ORG Music. Flying Lessons is the follow-up album to 2011’s Leave No Trace, which saw a multitude of positive reviews from sources such as Pitchfork, Consequence of Sound, SPIN, and NPR. Fool’s Gold has spent much of the past few years on the road, including appearances at Glastonbury, Reading, Leeds, and ACL Fest, and highlighted by a 2012 supporting stint with the Red Hot Chili Peppers in arenas across the UK as well as in Tel Aviv for one of the largest concerts in Israel’s history. In 2013, the band eased out of a long, demanding tour schedule to focus on writing new material. With five years of experience behind them, this was the perfect opportunity to further refine the band’s identity and songwriting.

“The album’s debut single, ‘I’m in Love,’ features many of the elements that made us fall for them in the first place,” claims Interview Magazine. Lead singer and co-founder Luke Top says, "The release of Flying Lessons is a huge deal for us. It encompasses everything we've been about for the last 7+ years, both musically and emotionally. It is the culmination of countless hours of travel, gigs, success, failure, darkness, joy, and the stubborn insistence to move forward and create our best work to date."

Flying Lessons will first be available on Record Store Day with an exclusive orange vinyl pressing, limited to 1,000 copies worldwide, and includes a digital album download with two bonus tracks. The album will see its wide release for digital and CD formats on May 19th. Album pre-orders are available now at the band’s webstore, and include instant downloads of “I’m in Love.” Following a European tour in late April, Fool’s Gold will celebrate the release of their new album with shows at The Troubadour in Los Angeles on May 14th and the Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco on May 27th.
The Happy Hollows - (Set time: 9:15 PM)
The Happy Hollows
The Happy Hollows are a raucous three piece indie-rock band from Los Angeles that plays fast and irreverent noise-pop. The group is fronted by Sarah Negahdari (vocals/guitar) and held together by the rhythm section of Charlie Mahoney (bass/vocals) and Chris Hernandez (drums/vocals). The L.A. Times has described their sound as a “pugilistic mix of stinging guitars, turbulent rhythms, and shouted vocals” that “alternates between childlike experimentation and ferocious firestorm.” The AllMusic guide wrote that the band’s “appeal is immediate” and the Rock Insider Blog has characterized their live show as “explosive”. Nylon Magazine has described their sound as “lo-fi distortion” mixed with “Kim Deal-esque vocals and racing rhythms.”
Line & Circle - (Set time: 8:30 PM)
Line & Circle
Line & Circle was born of the collaboration between Brian J. Cohen (vocals, guitar) and Brian Egan (keyboards)--Ohio natives who met in the Midwest before departing for Los Angeles.

With two critically acclaimed singles under their belts, Line & Circle returned from a west coast tour last summer with a wealth of new material. Looking to capture the rhythmic urgency and emotional restlessness of these new songs, the group, which also includes guitarist Eric Neujahr, drummer Nick Cisik, and bassist Jon Engelhard, quickly entered the studio with producer Lewis Pesacov (Best Coast's "Crazy For You"), who also produced the band's earlier singles.

Recorded live to tape in Los Angeles and mixed in Philadelphia, Line & Circle's self-titled EP is the result of these sessions, comprising three new compositions: "Wounded Desire," "Mesolithic," and "Beauty Is Exhausting."

With particular attention paid to atmosphere and negative space, basic tracks were completed quickly during the initial two-day recording session, leaving time for the group to experiment with sonic nuances including cutting and layering tape loops. As with the band's singles, there are musical nods to early 4AD dream pop and chiming I.R.S. Records-era guitar rock, woven around Cohen's melodically rich vocals.

The band is currently finishing recording and mixing its debut LP in Philadelphia with Brian McTear (The War On Drugs) and Jonathan Low (The National). The album also features production from Pesacov.
