Evolove - (Set time: 10:45 PM)
Evolove
*“EVOLOVE is a powerhouse group with an incredible future ahead of them. We are happy to have them on our label” - Bobby Collins - CEO Spectra Music Group.

Formed in Los Angeles, CA, the band EVOLOVE has been a staple of the LA music scene playing top venues that include The House of Blues, The Roxy Theatre, Whiskey A Go Go, and Viper Room. Combining the power and honesty of Rock with the fun, catchy spirit of Pop, listeners have resonated with the band’s sound and heartfelt lyrics. Their high energy shows have earned them the honor of sharing the stage with bands like Eyes Set To Kill, Snot, Steel Panther, Butcher Babies, and Gemini Syndrome.

The band’s members are Lucy Levinsohn (vocals), Billy Berman (bass), Dave Corsile (guitar), Colby Jensen (guitar) and Andrew Carroll (drums). Built on love, Evolove was the brainchild of Lucy and Billy who met through a previous band and played for years honing a sound that would one day become EVOLOVE. Evolove's music has been featured on MTV shows such as Made, True Life, and Teen Mom. The band gained a worldwide fan base after key placements in ABC Family’s hit show Pretty Little Liars. EVOLOVE was a featured artist on Hot Topic’s “Shop ‘til you Drop Tour” which resulted in a distribution deal and a local tour at various Hot Topic locations across the West Coast. From 2011 to 2012 the band toured extensively and embarked on their first 2 national tours. A chance audition led Evolove to their first glimpse of the public spotlight. The band were finalists of the Freecreditscore.com national band search which earned them a top spot in the semi-finals and a starring role in a national commercial that made its debut during the MLB All-Star game, viewed by over 12 million.

The commercial aired in heavy rotation on several national networks and spotlighted by MTV News. To date the band has released three studio albums independently: 2012: Countdown to the End (EP), Breaking Heartstrings (EP) produced by Michael Eisenstein (Letters To Cleo, The Posies), and the self produced Acoustic Sessions Vol. 1 (LP). In 2013 the band got into the studio with producer/guitarist Mikey Doling (Channel Zero, Soulfly and Snot). 12 tracks were recorded and the album was named We Are The Warriors with perfect timing the band was approached to release the album through Spectra Music Group. Lead vocalist Lucy calls this album “a new level of maturity for the band” and said, “I feel that the band has really come into its own with this album, I’m excited to see where our music can take us.” EVOLOVE brought in a team of great talent for the creation of this album, it features songs was mixed by Brian Virtue (Audioslave, 30 Seconds to Mars, Deftones), Gerald Jans (Channel Zero) and Gus Cyrns (Get Scared, The Academy Is).

The band released a fan-inspired lyric video for the first single Warriors that demonstrate what Evolove is all about—bringing people together through their music. Hundreds of fans submitted personalized photos, making this one of the band’s most unique videos. We Are the Warriors is set to release Worldwide 1/13/15. The band will be announcing show dates prior to the album release.

Staples of the growing rock scene that has been coming out of Los Angeles the last two years, Evolove has played top venues that include The House of Blues, The Roxy Theatre, Whiskey A Go Go, and Viper Room. Attracting fans with their lively shows, listeners have resonated with their heartfelt, powerful lyrics.

To date the band has released three studio albums with the fourth slated to be released later this year; 2012: Countdown to the End (EP), Breaking Heartstrings in (EP), Acoustic Sessions Vol. 1 (LP) and the band’s upcoming album, We Are The Warriors that will feature 12 tracks. Slated for a mid-2014 release from the band’s self- run label, Heartchord Records, the first single “Warriors” is set for a worldwide digital release on February 10. Produced by Mikey Doling (Channel Zero, Soulfly and Snot), it was mixed by Brian Virtue (Audioslave, 30 Seconds to Mars, Deftones), Gerald Jans (Channel Zero) and Gus Cyrns (Get Scared, The Acadamy Is). The music video to be released along with Warriors demonstrates what Evolove is all about—bringing people together through their music. Hundreds of fans submitted personalized photos, making this one of the band’s most unique videos.

Evolove's debut EP, 2012: Countdown to the End was released in October 2009. The EP gained critical acclaim with HollywoodMusicMagazine.com lauding it as "pop inspired guitar riffs (showing) personal yet direct lyrics (which) are what make this album a gem." With the EP, the band signed a music licensing agreement with MTV that gave them feature airplay on MTV shows Made, True Life and Teen Mom. The band signed to Planet LA records in 2009 and went on the “Abolitionist Tour” with that label to SXSW but the relationship was short-lived and the band departed ways with the label.

In the summer of 2010, a chance audition led Evolove to their first glimpse of the public spotlight. The band were finalists of the Freecreditscore.com national band search which earned them a top spot in the semi-finals and a starring role in a national commercial that made its debut during the MLB All-Star game, viewed by over 12 million. The commercial aired in heavy rotation for the month that followed on several national networks and spotlighted by MTV News.

It was during this same time period that the band placed their songs, ”Let Me In,” “Lie to me” and “2012” on the hit ABC Family drama Pretty Little Liars. These events helped gain fans both nationally and internationally with digital downloads on sites including, Cdbaby and iTunes (USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, Europe). The band was a featured artist on Hot Topic’s “Shop ‘til you Drop Tour” which resulted in a distribution deal and a local tour at various Hot Topic locations across the West Coast.

Breaking Heartstrings, the second EP, was produced by Michael Eisenstein (Letters To Cleo, The Posies) and released in August 2011. The band collaborated with Swedish audiovisual phenom Iggi Oggard and turned heads with a quirky video for “Wake Up Call” that debuted on Hot Topic’s YouTube channel. After the release of this EP, the band began touring extensively nationally starting with “The Breaking Heartstring’s Tour” with fellow LA bands Stitched Up Heart and followed by the “Reinforcement Tour” with Gemini Syndrome. Always finding ways to stay connected to their fans, the band fundraised through the site Kickstarter. Backed by a loyal fan base, fan funding has become a primary source of a majority of Evolove’s endeavors.

In early 2012 the band took to the road again for the “Awake The State Tour” with Blameshift. Covering a lot of ground in just a couple short weeks, the band came home itching to record. This led to the band’s first self-produced acoustic album simply called, Evolove Acoustic Sessions Vol. 1. The album was recorded in response to years of requests by fans.

After revealing that Lucy and Billy were to be having their first child at the end of the year, the band took advantage of this time to rediscover the constant theme that had been behind every success—their love for music. The band spent 2012 in Los Angeles writing what was to become “We Are The Warriors.” The band wrote furiously during this time period and created more music in that one year than in the three years that had proceeded.

With perfect timing, in early 2013 the band was approached by producer Mikey Doling to record a full album. Already fans of his work, the band jumped at the opportunity. The album was recorded in 2 ½ weeks, making it an all-time record for Evolove. We Are The Warriors marks a new chapter for Evolove. Levinsohn calls this album “a new level of maturity for the band” and said, “I feel that the band has really come into its own with this album, I’m excited to see where our music can take us.”
Vattica - (Set time: 10:00 PM)
Vattica
Erupting onto the L.A. rock scene in the Fall of 2012, VATTICA is a progressive and hard-hitting trio of organic indie-alternative rock. Infusing a fresh and unique sound into a widely accepted & sustainable genre of music, this powerful triumvirate instills a transcendent illumination of rock – incorporating striking and hook-driven guitar riffs, memorable vocal melodies and a commanding rhythm section of dynamic variety and complexity, solidifying the band as a dominant and arresting force.

Vattica is Alexander Millar (lead vocals / guitar), Joey Jane (bass, backing vocals) and Prentice Daggs (drums / percussion, backing vocals). Vattica's debut EP, "The Assayer", was recorded by Fred Archumbault (Avenged Sevenfold, Lost Prophets, Get Scared) and produced by Gus Cryns (Panic! At the Disco, Escape The Fate, Foxy Shazam, Dead Rabbits, The Academy Is) and was released worldwide in May 2012.

Vattica unrelentingly pushes themselves in a true DIY model, tackling all aspects of a calculated and aggressive working band – having entirely self-generated their emergent success. In addition to independently distributing the debut EP, "The Assayer", Vattica maximizes all aspects of multi-media marketing, which includes adopting a cinematic element of ongoing promotional content and music videos. "Run Baby," the first single and video released from their upcoming debut album (Fall 2013), continues to embrace audiences, as the band's progressive and powerful music captures the presence and influence of a band with dominant sustainability.

The band has built a strong, diverse and dedicated fan base throughout Southern California, in addition to their expanded following in Nevada and Arizona. Assertively positioning themselves among the most promising up-and-coming national touring Artists and bands in their genre, Vattica tirelessly performs live in legendary venues including The Viper Room, Roxy Theatre, Canyon Club, The Troubadour and the Whisky a Go-Go.

The band's drive to share their music and connect with fans frequently takes them out on the road… touring across the US and performing in festivals and celebrated venues. Vattica's exposure has also crossed international waters, gaining popularity and an emerging fan base in Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Engaged by the influences of Muse, 30 Seconds To Mars, Green Day, Our Lady Peace, U2 and The Clash, Vattica's music incorporates a passionate and concentrated theme in its lyrics and tone – subjectively tackling the universal journey of contending-with-the-challenges and celebrating-the-conquests that test and continue to define one's existence.
Malaki - (Set time: 9:15 PM)
Malaki
In less than a year, Malaki have stormed Los Angeles and delivered precisely that. Melding the power and riffing of Modern Metal with soulful and emotional vocals, Malaki was born as a studio project for guitarist Joshua Buma. Crafting songs and a musical landscape in his vision, he began reaching out to musicians he respected to bring Malaki to life. Bassist Joe Guerra (ex Flatline) and drummer Dave Gentry (ex Otep, Triggerpoint) provide the thunderous and pinpoint rhythms, weaving around the sinewy guitar riffs of Michael Breamer and Joshua Buma. After months of seaching, they finally found the vocalist who could bring these songs to life in Shauna Lisse.
The anticipation and excitement built on early demos that had spread throughout the local music scene were proven to be justified as the band tore through their brief 6 song set at the famed Roxy Theatre in February 2013, making their Sunset Strip debut to a nearly packed house.
Less than 3 months later, they performed to a sold out House of Blues audience in celebration of their first release, The White EP. The band did a small west coast tour in the summer before beginning recording sessions for their next release at legendary Sunset Sound Studios in Hollywood, “The Blue EP”, which is due for release on December 13th, 2014.
Malaki’s music is at times relentless heavy, yet at no point is there an absence of melody. Each song is written and arranged to convey the deepest and most heartfelt emotional impact. Each lyric screams out sincerity while the wall of sound the band produces underneath contains countless layers of of texture and soul. Malaki is simply music without compromise and the very essence of artistic integrity, a trait lacking in all but the rarest of bands.
