The Mowgli's - (Set time: 10:15 PM)
The Mowgli's
Frequently called "the quintessential California band," the seven members of The Mowgli's are known for their uplifting, positive indie-rock. Philosophically inspired by '60s Laurel Canyon folk and '70s Venice Beach rock combined with '00s indie-pop, their message of positivity and love resonates with audiences everywhere.

The group's 2013 major label debut, 'Waiting for the Dawn' [Photo Finish], debuted at #4 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart and yielded the hit "San Francisco." Following its release, the group -- Colin Dieden [vocals, guitar], Katie Jayne Earl [vocals, percussion], Dave Appelbaum [keyboards], Josh Hogan [guitar, vocals], Matthew Di Panni [bass], Spencer Trent [guitar, vocals], and Andy Warren [drums] -- performed on "Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!," "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "CONAN," "Watch What Happens Live," and more.

Along the way, their interpretation of love became even clearer, and it defined their sophomore outing, 'Kids In Love.'

"Our first album essentially said, 'What's up everyone? We're The Mowgli's, and we believe love can change the world," explains Katie. "Over the past couple of years, we really came to terms with who we are as a band. With 'Kids In Love' we explored the intricacies of intimate love and personal love, as well as universal love. We've found art is the best vehicle to ponder what this really means."

"['Waiting for the Dawn'] painted in very broad strokes," Colin goes on. "Our intention was to start a movement and a culture around what we do. We put all of that under a microscope on 'Kids In Love' and talked about personal experiences and stories, the lack of love, and finding it again."

"We've learned so much about the business, ourselves, and this message," adds Josh. "We've become more direct, a little wiser."

For 'Kids In Love,' the group teamed up with producer Tony Hoffer [The Kooks, Silversun Pickups, Fitz & The Tantrums] in his Los Angeles studio during the summer of 2014. Additionally, they recorded with prior collaborators Captain Cuts [Smallpools, Tove Lo] and Matt Radosevich [Walk The Moon, One Direction] on two additional tracks.

Post-'Kids In Love,' the band has released 2 singles: the evocative "Summertime" which has become one of their highest playing songs on Spotify, and most recently "Room For All Of Us," a track released in support of the refugee-relief organization, International Rescue Committee.

They are currently at work on a new record, set for release spring 2016.
WATERS - (Set time: 9:10 PM)
WATERS
After finishing school and coming off of years on the road supporting his former band (Port O’Brien) Van Pierszalowski, the creative force behind WATERS, decided to live and work in San Francisco spending some time standing still for the first time in ages. The calm gave way to creative restlessness and the result was a new band and a new sound in the form of WATERS. WATERS’ “Got To My Head” is informed by an era of Alternative music where frenetic energy, pop hooks and a focused lyrical narrative could drive any young kid to start playing guitar. While currently working on a full album of songs with the same immediacy as “Got To My Head”, WATERS has announced a handful of West Coast shows and more dates to come.
Night Riots - (Set time: 8:15 PM)
Night Riots
NIGHT RIOTS is setting the alternative underworld ablaze as swift and smartly as their brooding, melody rich and timeless songs have already endeared them to critics. The Southern California based band has a unique melodic sensibility -- delivering transcendent pop music that is both modern and timeless; as well as both sinister and romantic, with the downbeat flare of new wave, '80s movie soundtracks.

Frontman Travis Hawley spent five years in England before moving to a small coastal town with only one traffic light, where he met guitarists Nick Fotinakes and Matt DePauw, bassist Mikel Van Kranenburg and drummer Rico Rodriguez. Now heralded by Rolling Stone as one of the "Top 16 Unsigned Bands in North America," Night Riots are currently on tour with Young Rising Sons and have shared the stage with a diverse group of bands including Cage The Elephant, Walk The Moon, Meg Myers, OK Go, The Mowgli's, Wild Cub, Driver Friendly, Youngblood Hawke, The Front Bottoms, Angels & Airwaves and many more.

After the tremendous success of their debut EP, 'Young Lore,' and praise from the likes of Billboard, Earmilk, KCRW, MTV, FUSE, Huffington Post, KROQ, All Things Go, NYLON, AV Club and Filter, Night Riots show no signs of slowing down. Signed to Sumerian Records, Night Riots recently released 'Howl,' produced by Eric Palmquist (Bad Suns, Trash Talk, Waaves, Mars Volta). "Contagious," the EP's lead single, climbed the radio charts -- skyrocketing to #1 on SiriusXM's Alt Nation Alt 18 Countdown, and breaking into the Top 50 at Alt Radio.
The Janks - (Set time: 7:30 PM)
The Janks
Los Angeles based rock group THE JANKS make it their mission to produce music in the same way they live their lives, with both sincerity and irreverence, strength and vulnerability, with control and chaos. Their sound is deeply rooted in the brotherly two-part harmony tradition of the Kinks and the Everly Brothers while invoking the musical stylings reminiscent of bands like the Raconteurs and Jeff Buckley. The way KROQ describes it, “Imagine Jack White had a baby with Jimmy Page. And that baby had a brother. And those brothers were adopted and raised by a commune of KROQ Local’s Only favorites like Father John Misty and Family of the Year. That’s a smattering of the sensibilities and stylings you get in The Janks.”

Though the group has gone through various incarnations, Zachary Zmed (Vocals, Guitar) has remained the one constant. In 2010, he was joined by his brother Dylan Zmed (Vocals, Mandolin) releasing their second record Hands of Time. Along with touring both coasts, songs “Demon Dance” and “Rat Racers” have been featured on MTV’s Real World Portland. In early 2012, the ‘Brothers Zmed’ were joined by Paul Kilmister (Bass, Production) and Leon LeDoux (Drums) affirming the band’s mission. Since then, THE JANKS have played more than 400 shows including a West Coast tour, performing at the Troubadour and the Echo, a residency at the Bootleg Theater and at the Satellite as well as being the backing band to several performances by Billy Steinberg “Like a Virgin, True Colors.” LA Music Blog notes, “Their charisma and unapologetic joy for playing music comes through in full force during their shows.”

THE JANKS have been recording their new EP at the Palms Studio in Las Vegas capturing the same atmosphere developed over their time together playing live shows. They are also heading to SXSW this year with a Southwest tour through California, Arizona and Texas with some new songs in hand from the new EP!
