Cosmic Suckerpunch - (Set time: 10:30 PM)
Cosmic Suckerpunch
When your band is called Cosmic Suckerpunch, you had better be prepared to back that name up with some pounding, stellar rock and roll. Good thing songwriter Ari Welkom and company deliver on spacey licks and heady songs, rooted in blues and funk, and indebted to imaginative fantasy rock music in the spirit of Led Zeppelin. With a driving rhythm, Cosmic Suckerpunch has invaded the L.A. scene, and with their self-released debut, Good Morning, the band plans on waking up the rest of us with a primal scream.
There's a reason L.A. has become synonymous with making your dreams come true. Hollywood and the Sunset Strip having been cranking out stars for more than a century, whether purposefully or coincidentally, and new discoveries come every day. Take the case of Welkom, discovered as an actor before teaming up with guitarist Fabien Hameline on a movie set. The two realized their shared interests and respected talents could lead to a different kind of artistic avenue, and they first formed the musical act Ghost Robot in 2009. While that moniker's cuteness dried up pretty quick, they eventually recruited drummer Adam Timmerman and bassist Sebastian Hameline, Fabien’s twin brother, for the full line up of what is now Cosmic Suckerpunch.

At first holed up and honing their chops in coffeehouses and small clubs, the band's popularity grew in the city of angels and they soon graduated to historic venues like The Viper Room and the House of Blues. Their eclectic and tightly packed sound easily brings in a wide fan base of both geeks and casual listeners. The group plays up a sparkling tongue-in-cheek science fiction vibe throughout their otherwise straightforward music, with themes like robot love and time machines popping up regularly and Welkom often adopting a Ziggy Stardust like swagger when he endearingly croons and stutter-starts his lyrics. Combining that nod to the original space oddity, the group zeroes in on perfectly timed effects and a nonchalant, happily head banging rhythm that never fails to produce a sing-along/jump-along kind of atmosphere.

Cosmic Suckerpunch is expanding their universe, starting by self-releasing their debut record, Good Morning. Even with the understated album title, the band transforms their live sound into a classic rock album, full of the same glimmering exuberance they've become known for. Having recently found themselves opening festivals and seeing bigger stages, the group is now ready to rock on a level of, ahem, cosmic proportions.
Verdell - (Set time: 8:50 PM)
Verdell
A band of sound architects who synthesize sonic structures in effort to house the musically-devoid ears of troubled entities entrapped in soundless space.
Alicia G - (Set time: 8:00 PM)
Alicia G
Alicia is singing in the wake of musical giants that came before... well, everybody is. But she sincerely digs those giants deep in her heart, and maybe that's the difference. Learning from the likes such as Aretha Franklin to Bill Withers, she thinks she's gonna move a good thing forward, or die trying! A good tune is a GOOD tune, and it's time we feel GOOD again, but keep it honest too. Radio shall once again see the day where music doesn't compromise quality for sales, or sales for quality. Don't ignore those stepping stones they left for us, we got a lot of work to do...as The Isley Brothers once said!
Vie Jester - (Set time: 9:40 PM)
Vie Jester
Heavy and harmonious electric riffs, melodic vocal harmonies, and progressive grooves create the massive sound that is Vie Jester. Generating comparisons to monster rock groups such as Tool and Alice In Chains, this L.A. based band brings forth a unique and ambitious take on three piece rock music. Inspired by socially important issues and esoteric teachings, they vie to incorporate important messages within their lyrics. Vie Jester: a modern power trio that flexes the artistic side of hard rock.

While embracing music technicality, the group has a powerful in-your-face sound but can easily switch it up on tracks to a clean and mellow tone that still carries a heavy rocking weight. Raised in The City of Angels county, guitarist and lead vocalist Kyle E. Guerrero, and drummer/back-up vocalist Cliff C. Conway, have been playing music together since they were very young. Both come from families who, as far back as they can remember, raised them on a healthy dose of classic music of all genres. As they grew older, they gravitated toward heavy and aggresive music. Their passion of studying their instruments and song writing was paralelled by their constant persuit of truth in a world filled with disinformation. They are always seeking new sources of information to empower and inspire them. These ideas can be heard spewing through the layers of their sound.

The members of VJ have spent years honing their craft, constantly evolving their sound to reach its full potential. They came closer to their mark on their first nationally released recording, Cognisense. A solid sounding display with heavy, progressive, and alternative imprints. The E.P. is a preview of what these art rockers are headed for with a full length album coming next. With their latest addition to the band, bassist Angie V. Gonzales, look out soon for these Jesters to be Vying in the rat race near you.
The Vim Dicta - (Set time: 11:20 PM)
The Vim Dicta
Embodying the pure energy of great Rock n’ Roll, THE VIM DICTA incorporates soulful, sophisticated musicianship and great lyrical content. This celebrated young power trio conjure the kind of excitement felt in the late 1960’s when three man bands like Cream and the Jimi Hendrix Experience were taking the music world by storm. So energetic and exciting is The Vim Dicta’s “psychogroove” signature sound that modern myths decrying “Rock is Dead” crumble under their command completely, and fans describe feeling the true spirit of the genre come alive within them!

The Vim Dicta formed in late 2011 amidst LA’s re-energized underground music scene and have worked hard to perfect their strengths in order to attract music fans looking for something unique and powerful, as well as serious and experienced support people who can help them achieve their goal of broad, iconic success without marginalizing their Art. Original members Cori Elliott, 22, (lead vocals/rhythm guitar) and Matt Tunney, 21, (lead guitar/backing vocals) make up the nucleus of the trio and have set the tone for the band’s remarkable sound. NYC-based Chicago native Chris “the Fuse” Infusino, 28, (drums and percussion) was brought aboard in June 2013 to match the musicianship and “feel” by providing a powerful, consistent and intensely inspiring foundation. They are now three equal parts of positive virtuosic progressive rock (think “The Dead Weather Zeppelin with a dash of Volta/Santana”); a psychedelic rhythm section (a la Nick Mason / Noel Redding on a Latin Jazz acid trip) and a sexy siren of a soulful blues vocalist combining the punk attitude of Alison Mosshart with the timeless emotive soul of Billie Holliday. WOW.
Haster - (Set time: 12:10 AM)
Haster
Haster formed in late 2010 set on bringing back the American Alternative Metal movement spliced with Hard Rock influences. Adopting styles from acts such as Chevelle, Tool, and Korn, the band places equal importance on stage presence and musicianship. Their ambient feel, heavy foundation, and a performance intent on telling a story, evoke an unparalleled experience that creates an insatiable desire for more.

Recording their debut E.P. “Searching” became the first step towards establishing a presence in the Orange County music scene. A relentless show schedule, a humble attitude, and constant efforts to improve have stimulated an overwhelming growth that inspires an emotional connection with fans worldwide. Haster started as a band, but is quickly becoming a movement.

Placing importance on live performances as well as social media, the band reaches out to an enormous number of followers on a daily basis. Meaningful messages and sociable attitudes help them create and maintain a personal communication with their fan base. Haster believes in their music and hopes to share it with anyone willing to listen.

"Let It Go" the new 14 song full length album by Haster will be released on March 25th, 2014.

'Crutch' the first single off "Let It Go" will be released on Feb. 17th, 2014.
