Beats Bistro is a new series pairing world-class local bands with world-class local chefs. Each installment explores a different theme and puts qualified artists both on the stage and in the kitchen. Tickets include admission and a small bite prepared by the featured chef.

Rock & Roll pumps up the 2nd Beats Bistro with three different takes on the rock sound and a larger-than-life personality in the kitchen who screams rock on.
Rozzi Crane - (Set time: 10:00 PM)
Rozzi Crane
Rozzi Crane, the first artist signed to Adam Levine's 222 Records, artfully skips between Pop, R&B, Alternative, and Hip Hop, crafting a sassy, sexy, and soulful sound of her own. The San Francisco-born, Los Angeles based singer and songwriter immersed herself in music growing up, obsessing over influences as wide-ranging as Lauryn Hill and Outkast and Destiny's Child and Amy Winehouse. She studied at USC and was a member of the elite Popular Music program's inaugural class. In 2012, she broke on the national level scene with a feature on the No. 1 ranked 'The Hunger Games' soundtrack Maroon 5/T-Bone Burnett song "Come Away To The Water”. In Winter 2013, Crane hit the road as a featured performer on Maroon 5's Overexposed World Tour; in Summer 2013 she joined Maroon 5 again, but this time with her own band opening for them w/Kelly Clarkson on the Honda Civic Tour. This past Spring she joined Gavin DeGraw and Parachute as first opener on his North America club tour. Rozzi will be releasing her debut full length early 2015.
Medusa - (Set time: 9:00 PM)
The legendary Medusa has been dominating the scene for 15 years with her brand of neo-soul. Hailing from the storied Good Life Café, she is among the top female rappers of all time, having twice been named L.A. Weekly’s hip hop artist of the year. Busy with music and TV projects, Medusa is a huge advocate for the neo-soul movement and a staple on the local scene. The “Gangsta Goddess” defines LA Soul.
Anderson .Paak - (Set time: 8:00 PM)
Anderson .Paak
Oxnard native Anderson .Paak, aka Breezy Lovejoy, is working his magic on the LA music scene as a drummer, producer, singer, and songwriter. On his debut EP Cover Art with the Free Nationals, Paak’s “soul rebel” sound transforms alternative rock classics from beloved bands into completely funkier versions extracting every bit of soul, jazz, hip-hop, electronic funk, and R&B from these great tunes.
"From the soil to you soul" is Chef Alisa's motto at her soul food spot in Mid-Wilshire where everything is made from scratch. A favorite of carnivores and vegetarians alike, her po' boys, gumbo, grits, and quinoa mac 'n cheese are only matched by mouth-watering desserts, including the legendary "crack cake."
