Do you want to hear something exciting? Rock is coming back! We mean real rock with all its drive, power, and positive vibe! We are an up and coming rock band based in Hollywood, CA, and our music is a combination of the best that's been in rock, in particular, of the style of the 80s – amazing solos, powerful riffs, charging drums, and, of course, fun and catchy lyrics and melodies! In addition, our songs vary from lively upbeat tunes to beautiful ballads, from inspiring love songs to hard rock anthems. We don't just stand around playing and singing – we give real exciting performances with lots of energy and fun! Because one of the things that we enjoy most of all is seeing you smiling, laughing, and having a damn awesome time when hearing our music, and what's the most important is that we want to inspire you to achive your goals and follow your dreams! So, raise your hands for Maxy Melrose and let's get rocked! Like us on Facebook, watch us on Youtube, follow us on Twitter, tell your friends about us - we want you to be a part of the show!
Forty Feet Tall - (Set time: 9:00 PM)
Forty Feet Tall
Though they’ve only been playing together a little over two years, Forty Feet Tall has made appearances at the Whisky A Go-Go, The Grammy Museum, The Roxy, and Topanga Days main stage, to name a few. Formerly known as Ote For President, they’ve also won runner-up in Club Nokia’s inaugural Battle of the Bands and first place in the prelims of Warped Tour Battle of the Bands. They’ve also just signed a licensing deal with DL Music and are really starting to make some ripples in the area.
They currently have a six song EP out, but are going back into the studio to lay down six more to complete the album with producer Chris Garcia which will be released on iTunes and other online platforms. “If we can make a living, one day, doing what we love, well that would just be pretty damn great,” says lead singer, Cole Gann.
All of them, listed with just their main weapon of choice--Cole Gann (vocals, lead guitar,) brothers Jack (guitar) & Charlie Sehres (keyboard), Guy Moore (bass), and Steven Driscoll (drums)--play multiple instruments, an aspect that live audiences seem to appreciate.
All the band members have been friends since birth. While the brothers Sehres hail from Van Nuys, the rest of the band resides in Topanga Canyon, a pocket of Los Angeles known for its rich musical heritage. The area also has long had a reputation for being unconventional. In that vein the boys also follow suit. All have been homeschooled into and through high school.
Their influences range from Jack White to Sublime, Pearl Jam to The White Rabbits and their sound has been compared to The Black Keys and Led Zeppelin. Though their music is still evolving, the band has brought forth a gritty, bluesy style, exemplified in cuts off their EP such as “Not So Nice” and “I Won’t Run.” Forty Feet Tall hones in on a unique sound, much more mature than their years. While still holding onto their wide-ranging influences and tastes, they have begun to sound like, well, Forty Feet Tall.
The band’s songs won’t leave your head for weeks, their choruses and riffs never letting go, but they go deeper than that. While they rock out at live shows, a more careful listening of Forty Feet’s original lyrics and riffs reveals another level. Whether you listen to them with your head or your heart, they throw a deep, sincere, rolling sound at you and it sticks
Breaking Tempo - (Set time: 7:20 PM)
Breaking Tempo
Writing and creating upbeat and crowd pleasing music comes naturally to Breaking Tempo- a 3 piece alternative rock band from Los Angeles, CA. Robby Bruce (lead vocals and bass), Austin Anderson (drums and backup vocals) and Justin Tinucci (lead guitar and bass) are no strangers to the entertainment world. Each member of this band has been playing multiple instruments for many years, and their strong chemistry really shows in their high energy performances.

Breaking Tempo is quickly gaining popularity. The talented trio is currently writing and recording new songs as they work on releasing their first EP this fall. Their music can be compared to Fall Out Boy, Paramore, 30 Seconds to Mars, My Chemical Romance, and Blink 182, yet they strive to develop their own unique style which has already proven to be very successful in their original songs. While each band member maintains their own individual personality and tastes, they have very successfully merged their strengths to write and perform engaging rock music with intricate lyrics and melody. This talented group of musicians has been performing to near capacity crowds in the Los Angeles market on a regular basis at popular venues such as The Vault, House of Blues, The Federal, Studio 118 West and many more.

Think of the greatest music you've ever heard, and divide by 2, then double that, add 7 and that's what we sound like. What happens when you take folk-rock, and take it to outerspace with funky licks and progressive riffs, mindboggling solos, a pounding backbeat, and a flair for clever storytelling?
