Nick 13 (acoustic mini set)
NICK 13 is an Americana artist who uses hillbilly music from the 1940s-60s as a jumping off point for music that looks forward to the future, while still maintaining respect for the traditions of true country music.

He’s played festivals such as Stagecoach (2010 & 2013), Austin City Limits (2011) and done multiple tours of the U.S. following the release of his self-titled debut “NICK 13” (available on CD, Vinyl and through digital outlets such as iTunes & Amazon).

NICK 13’s first video “All Alone” received airplay on GAC TV, with his second “Carry My Body Down” racking up even more airplay on CMT Pure, including multiple weeks in the CMT Pure countdown. The third video “Nighttime Sky” spent even longer on the countdown, including five weeks at #1 in a row!

Identified at one time primarily with his internationally known rock/psychobilly band TIGER ARMY, 13 has established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the Americana genre. Not a surprise to fans who’ve payed close attention over the years (and heard the pedal-steel laced TIGER ARMY tracks like “Outlaw Heart”), but not necessarily expected either.

13 has appeared on legendary Nashville traditional country station WSM 650 AM, both performing live on shows like “Americana Carnival” and being spun on record by DJ’s like Americana legend Jim Lauderdale. He’s done in-stores at venerated indie record stores like Amoeba (LA & SF) and Grimey’s (Nashville, TN) and packed two-night stands at venues like Doug Weston’s Troubadour and the El Rey Theatre in his home base of Los Angeles, CA.

Co-produced by Greg Leisz & James Intveld, NICK 13’s album is not to be missed, featuring performances by some of the Americana genre’s best players: Eddie Perez (Mavericks, Dwight Yoakam) Josh Grange (k.d. lang, Dwight Yoakam), Sara Watkins (Nickel Creek) and Lloyd Green (Johnny Paycheck, The Byrds), as well as Leisz and Intveld.

A fourth video directed by 13 himself (for “In The Orchard”) is in postproduction now as of late spring 2014 and will be viewable soon. While several songs have been written for a second solo album, new solo material may have to wait while NICK 13 focuses on the writing and recording of a new TIGER ARMY album. Whether you’re a TIGER ARMY fan or an Americana / country music fan who’s new to his songwriting and voice, make sure you’ve heard the NICK 13 solo album and keep an eye out for new music, it will happen!
Lynda Kay - (Set time: 9:00 PM)
Lynda Kay
Lynda Kay carries the torch for the heartbroken
and fills the void with 12 fully orchestrated
original compositions that conjure the
ghosts of classic country’s past.

Born and raised in Texas, Lynda Kay's
songwriting style was strongly influenced by
other great Lone Star State artists such
as Roy Orbison and Willie Nelson. Her rare contralto voice has also been compared to such classic vocalists as Patsy Cline, Kitty Wells, and Karen Carpenter.

Dream My Darling is the single and title track from Lynda Kay’s debut album. The full album will be released soon and was produced by Mike Butler of The Boxmasters, features her deeply resonant voice, twangy Gretsch guitar, and includes the duet
“All I Ever Wanted” with Billy Bob Thornton.

Lynda Kay is an Official Endorsee of Gretsch Guitars and Amplifiers.
