Urge Overkill
Rock&Roll Submarine coming 4-26-11
Jan 2011 20

Have you heard? Urge Overkill’s first album in over sixteen years is coming, and soon!

Check out this message sent to the Urge mailing list from Nash Kato & King Roeser:

Urge Overkill are pleased to formally announce our long-awaited return from the depths of studio silence with a brand new offering: all aboard the Rock&Roll Submarine! We are thrilled that this seaman’s dozen o’fresh tracks reflect our time-tested love of all things both Musical and Nautical. And you can expect, loyal listener, the same-gauge torpedoes Urge Overkill has always delivered on target. This sure-to-be controversial recording is now entering its final stage of mixing, and our sonic-sonar is set to “STUN.” So check our WarBoard for album updates, as we can’t wait to submURGE and recruit some new mates on tour.
Astronaut Academy - (Set time: 9:15 PM)
Astronaut Academy
Led by Vocalist/Bassist Jeff Dunham, Astronaut Academy’s music is at once both familiar and fresh. Memorable melodies, engaging hooks and sing along choruses are AA trademarks and what sets them apart from most acts today. Having been featured in several national and international music publications with quotes such as:

“Sound’s like a happy accident between Seattle grind and 90’s Brit pop!”
“Indie rock at it’s very best!”
"An addictive quality that is hard to put down"
“Technicality of Muse with the sleaze of Bowie”
"An extreme of music styles colliding"
"British influences crossed between Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Audioslave"
"The UK market will love this - really exciting!"

Hailing from Los Angeles, CA and topping internet radio charts, AA is set to rock it to the top and should not be missed. Keep an eye skyward as AA come to earth near you!
Roll The Tanks - (Set time: 8:30 PM)
Roll The Tanks
Los Angeles residents Roll The Tanks came out swinging in 2008 with their critically acclaimed indie punk debut “Suffer City” winning fans over with its Pixies meets The Clash sound. Since the release of “Suffer City”, the band has earned the respect of many of its contemporaries opening for everyone from NOFX to Against Me!. Now in 2010, Roll The Tanks have found their sweet spot as a power-trio adding hard hitting Kid Joe Sirois on drums (The Mighty Mighty Bosstones/Frank Black) that have audiences crowning them as the next great LA punk band.

“Roll the Tanks' arena-ready punk rock, with its descending melodies, shout-along chorus and an up-all-night vocal scruff” LA TIMES
