Perta
Perta is a Los Angeles-based pop/rock/funk quintet that’s heating up the local club scene with its unique sound, fresh voice, and rich cache of original songs, including the just-recorded single “From Fire.” Lead singer and lyricist Mathew Bazulka met bassist Daniel Zuker and keyboardist Colin Kenrick when they were all students at California Institute of the Arts, while lead guitarist Chance Taylor and drummer Justin Siegal were attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston. They have been writing and playing together intensely for nearly two years, and are now poised to make their mark.
Katelyn Tarver - (Set time: 9:15 PM)
Katelyn Tarver
Katelyn Tarver, the Georgia-born, LA-based, singer, songwriter and actress has been coming towards you from all corners of the music industry since the age of 12. Having initially been propelled into the nation’s consciousness as part of Spice Girl-impressario Simon Fuller’s 'American Juniors', Tarver went on to release a debut album at the age of 15 before taking a side-step into acting and a long running role on Nickelodeon’s 'Big Time Rush’. At the end of that show Katelyn focused back on music, initially co-writing 'Crazy Stupid Love’, a song that would give Cheryl Cole a UK #1 single. Fueled by this success, Tarver got together with Childish Gambino collaborator Ludwig Grandson to write 'Weekend Millionaires’, a pulsating deconstruction of the American dream. Having self-released the song, blog praise and remixes from the likes of Young Bombs, Skizzy Mars and Samuraii followed, helping inspire Tarver to complete what became 2017’s ‘Tired Eyes EP’. Centerpiece 'You Don't Know’ truly stuck a chord upon release with Katelyn’s tender live take of the song shooting to over 25 Million YouTube views. This year see’s Tarver busy again on all fronts, releasing new music (with collaborators such as RAC and Wrabel), as well as touring nationally and making a return to acting playing alongside Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson on the HBO show ‘Ballers’ (Premiering August 2018)
Josiah Bell - (Set time: 8:30 PM)
Josiah Bell
Josiah Bell is a Canadian singer, songwriter and producer.
At the age of 9, he moved from Canada to Detroit, Michigan. There, he was surrounded by gospel music and grew up playing drums, piano and singing in church.

Bell's professional producing and writing career began at the age of 15, when he wrote and produced 6 songs for Grammy-nominated Gospel legend Vickie Winans album ''Bringing It All Together" out of his parent's house. Josiah went on to work with gospel act Smokie Norful, producing and co-writing his Grammy-winning ''Nothing Without You'' album and hit single ''[
Can't Nobody''. Smokie’s CD went Gold and won a Grammy for Gospel Album of the year.

After expanding his production to such acts as CeCe Winans, Michelle Williams, Krystal Meyers and Toby Mac, Josiah moved to Nashville, Tennessee where he met Robert Marvin and formed a writing/producing partnership, establishing their "DoubleDutch" production company which lasted until 2009. Among their many collaborations was Mat Kearney's lead single ''Closer To Love'' off his ''City of Black & White:''album in which Bell co-wrote multiple tracks.

Under the DoubleDutch umbrella, Bell produced Matt Redman's ''Beautiful News'' which they recorded at the famed Abbey Road studios.

In 2007 Bell released his first solo EP, the self-produced "Polaroid". He began touring and built an underground following of loyal fans, gaining the attention of industry insiders and was spotlighted as one of the artists to watch at BMI's “Who’s Next: Writers on the Rise."

In 2009, Josiah signed a publishing deal with Sony/ATV. Josiah was asked to perform and help pay tribute to Will Smith when the Simon Wiesenthal Center honored the actor at its National Tribute Dinner in Los Angeles. After hearing him perform his song, "Change in the Weather", at the event, Jada Pinkett-Smith personally requested that his song be featured on the season finale of her TNT TV show ''Hawthorne''.

Bell collaborated with folk, pop music duo Johnnyswim for their 2013 EP "Heart Beats" and again in 2014 for their debut album "Diamonds". Composing, co-writing and producing multiple songs for the project.

Josiah continued to express his musical range by writing and producing songs for a variety of artists including Michael Bolton's "Need You To Fall" from his ''One World One Love", Nick Cannon's "So Turned Up", and Jaden Smith, collaborating, producing and writing several songs for Jaden's various mixtapes, ''The Cool Cafe" and "The Cool Cafe Vol2" including the fan favorite "Chase the Sun" in which is a featuring artist as well.

In Summer 2018 Josiah will be releasing new solo material and is touring with a newly formed powerhouse of a band that includes former/current members from such bands as Black Eyed Peas/Lady Gaga/Willow Smith.
