Katie Herzig - (Set time: 9:00 PM)
Katie Herzig
To put Katie Herzig in any sort of box is for it to be broken, as she
continues to outdo herself with each new release. Her music is as intimate
as it is epic - something that her fans have come to expect. Herzig grew up
in Colorado and found her way to Nashville upon starting her solo career in
2006. Fresh off the 2018 release of her 6th album, Moment of Bliss, Herzig
tours the US this summer for the first time in 4 years on her
highly-anticipated Moment of Bliss Tour. Herzig has performed at Bonnaroo,
on VH1, toured extensively both as a headliner and as support for artists
such as Brandi Carlile, Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, The Fray, and as
a member of 10 out of Tenn. She has had her music licensed for many film,
TV, and commercial uses including over 10 songs on Grey’s Anatomy. Her
song “Free My Mind” reached top 20 on AAA radio which led to a
collaboration with RAC on their song “We Belong,” earning a lot of love
from LA’s KCRW and the like and a remix of the song by Odesza. Herzig has
always been very hands on in the production of her own music which has led
to opportunities to co-write and produce music for other artists as well,
including Ingrid Michaelson’s platinum-selling single “Girls Chase
Boys." ASCAP awarded Katie the Sammy Cahn Award for her song “Closest I
Get.” In 2017 Katie was nominated for an Emmy for her song “Morse
Code” written for Netflix’s The Mr. Peabody and Sherman Show. An
eclectic career for an artist who has always relied on her own instincts to
consistently release music that goes deep and asks you to feel something at
every turn.
Sawyer - (Set time: 8:15 PM)
Sawyer
Sawyer is a Nashville based duo comprised of Kel Taylor and Emma Harvey that can be described in no other way than “Indie Sparkle Pop.” With comparisons to Lucy Rose, COIN, and HAIM they have built a resonance that can’t be forgotten. Indie Shuffle has described their music as “impeccably crafted” and The Wild Honey Pie has proclaimed, “Sawyer promises to be a part of the next wave." Since their official formation in 2014 the two girls have amassed their vastly growing fan base for being quite “normal.” Even in their normalcy, the Harvard Crimson has deemed them as "airy, nuanced, and utterly aflame." Their down to earth identities and endearing reliability is seen through every post, tweet, and musical note. The Nashville Scene has praised them saying their, “straightforward lyrics and charming guitar riffs put Sawyer in the same class as [your] favorite indie-pop aficionados The Staves.” With over 130 shows under their belt, 2.2 Million streams on Spotify, and multiple sold out shows in the Pacific Northwest they’re just at the beginning of their fandom. Emma Harvey and Kel Taylor are relatable rock stars ready to show the world the magic of Indie Sparkle Pop.
William Wild - (Set time: 7:30 PM)
William Wild
William Wild is the moniker of 24-year-old Alternative singer-songwriter Garrett Sale. Born and raised at the foothill of the Appalachian Mountains in Knoxville, TN, Sale began to pursue music while attending The University of Tennessee.
It was there that Sale worked on his first collection of recordings with Knoxville friends and fellow musicians, eventually releasing a self-titled LP under the name William Wild. Sale then embarked on a solo journey through Europe, where he wrote four of the six songs on his new EP, Steady Now. Continuing with the layered vocals, lush strings, dark tones of the debut album, Steady Now explores Sale’s search for peace while wrestling with self-pity, guilt and materialism.
Hazy guitars, dusty keys, and blurry pedal steel illuminate the recordings of weighty songs immersed in loss, fear of failure, and the worthiness of human existence. With plush nostalgic pop sensibilities, Steady Now radiates tranquility. In an atmosphere of warmth, the listener is invited to delve into psyche of kindred spirits. It is there that unfaltering refuge is found.
