Jarabe de Palo - (Set time: 10:15 PM)
Jarabe de Palo
The Latin rock group Jarabe de Palo (strictly translated as "wood syrup" in English) was formed in Barcelona in the early '90s by vocalist and guitarist Pau Donés with guitarist Jordi Mena, drummer Alex Tenas, percussionist Dani Forcada and bassist Joan Gené. Donés, an early fan of the Beatles and Bob Marley, formed his first band with his brother, but then found another lineup for the newly named Jarabe de Palo. The group's 1997 album La Flaca did well on the charts in the group's native land. De Vuelta Y Vuelta was issued four years later.
Bang Data - (Set time: 9:15 PM)
Bang Data
Straight out of the Bay Area in early 2008 Bang Data was born, bringing you a mix of slick and melodic guitar, gritty synch & bass, over bang electro-acoustic rhythms; making this the perfect canvas for Deuce Eclipses bilingual rhymes and melodies. Bang Data’s sound is a mash-up of styles combining hints of Latin, Reggae. Hip-Hop & Rock triggering memories of music we once grew up with yet offering a futuristic vision of Latin Alternative music. Everyone in the group has been actively part of the Bay Area music scene: Deuce Eclipse (Zion I Crew. J- Boogie) on vocals. Juan Manuel Caipo (Orixa) on drums & Keys. Dave Lopez (Flipsyde) on guitar and Marco Guzman (Dave Rude Band) on bass. Bang Data’s live performance is edgy. energetic and contagious: pushing the songs from their upcoming CD even further.

The debut CD EP entitled Maldito Carnaval will drop this Fall 2009. The EP was produced by Caipo at his Oakland based studio and includes 7 songs that take you from a Samba-Ska-Cumbia and Electro-Bossanova to a Synth Bass Heavy Stooges infested beat. Also featured is a heartfelt arrangement of Piero’s 70’s Latin- American classic song “Mi Viejo”— a tribute to all immigrant fathers. The EP has special guest performances by Karl Perrazzo from Santana. Steve Bradley from No Doubt, Mario Silva from Pellejo Seco and DJ Amplive from Zion I.
Sonsoles - (Set time: 8:30 PM)
Sonsoles (pronounced sown-so-les) - derived from the Spanish words for a type of song (son) and the brilliance of the sun (sol) - is stamping its mark as "el nuevo sonido de Rock en Espanol." As a young, global ensemble of talented musicians from Spain, Mexico, Los Angeles, and El Salvador they fuse pop, dance, rock, reggaeton, salsa rhythms and melodies. These dynamic beats are part of their signature sound.

In the fall of 2006, Sonsoles was founded in Los Angeles by Steve Baltazar (keyboards) and Cesar Abrego (bass). Spaniard Jóse Hernandez (guitar/vocals) joined the band to add his stunning guitar licks and became lead vocals after the departure of the band's former female singer. Lonnie Moreno (drums) was recruited via an internet ad and completed the current musical line-up.

The year 2012 has been a significant one for Sonsoles. On August 8, Sonsoles won the grand finals of the "EL RETO DEL ROCK" contest presented by Spanish station, Super Estrella 107.1, Los Angeles. There were 80 band submissions for the contest of which 12 made it to the semi-finals and 4 made it to the grand finals. Sonsoles couldn't have been happier to be chosen the El RETO DEL ROCK winner!

As part of the winning prize, Sonsoles performed at Super Estrella's Reventon 2012 at the Staples Center in front of 17,000 people. Sonsoles was ecstatic to share the stage with other Latin Music superstars, Cafe Tacuba, Julieta Venegas, Kinky, Hombres G, Beto Cuevas, Moderatto, Enanitos Verdes, and Mikel Erentxun. Sonsoles lead singer and guitarist, Jose Hernandez was invited to perform on stage a second time with Mikel Erentxun and Leire from La Oreja de Van Gogh.

Sonsoles' music is featured in comedian Paul Rodriguez's one man show, "Just for the Record" and the documentary, "Luchadores Fighting for a Dream" currently airing on cable. Sonsoles has also performed at Dodger Stadium, Nascar, The LA County Fair, The Los Angeles Rock n Roll Marathon, the LA Pride Festival and Long Beach Gay Pride event, The Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA), the Aquarium of the Pacific and the LA En Vivo Block Party at LA Live

On Sunday, September 30th Sonsoles will be sharing the bill with Spanish rock band, Jarabe de Palo at the Troubadour in Hollywood and October 20 will be performing at the Tritone Music Festival at Prado Regional Park in Chino.

Sonsoles has a large committed following and appeal to both Spanish-speaking and non-Spanish speaking crowds.
