Daron Malakian and Millennials - (Set time: 10:15 PM)
Daron Malakian and Millennials
Hey everyone-

I’ll be joining Millennials on vocals on Aug 18 at the Troubadour. They will be playing Millennials songs mixed with some of my songs that you're familiar with. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Millennials is a Los Angeles based Alternative music project. It combines a fusion of Punk, Reggae, Dance and Jazz influences to form a plethora of colors and sound. The wide range of groove held down by Mike Tree on drums combines a tight unity of elaborate styles along with bassist Heno Mox Akopyan. Combining that with acid jazz elements of sax man Matt Silberman and Mesrop Sarkisyan on keys compliment the songs thoroughly. Vocalist and guitarist, Orbel Babayan says " Most of us have known each other since we where kids, if not teens. It's a rare blessing to find people you go so far back with and make music as you could connect on what could feel like a telepathic level." Besides spending 8 years touring and recording with his other project Viza, Babayan has written, recorded and performed with artists such as DMC(Run DMC), Bobby Brown, and Miguel. Millennials will debut a full length album by the end of the year. Until then you can check out updates and new material at millennialsmusicla.com

Heavy Machinery - (Set time: 11:00 PM)
Heavy Machinery
Heavy Machinery is a collaborative studio project headed by producer and lighting designer, Gigo Avakian. Working with like-minded musicians and
artists, the project aims at sparking introspective insight through music that doesn’t quite fit in any one genre but spans from ambient down-tempo jazz breaks to heavy, droning riffs. As the project slowly makes its way out of the studio and into the public eye, the live experience takes on a spirit of its own. Armed with an arsenal of meditative trances and highly emotive climaxes carefully arranged in a half-hour set, Heavy Machinery is ready
to try new things on your mind.
