People Under The Stairs - (Set time: 10:00 PM)
People Under The Stairs
When LA based People Under The Stairs, Double K (Michael Turner) and Thes One (Christopher Portugal) met, they had no idea they would become one of the most successful, completely independent hip-hop duos in the history of Hip-Hop.

Since their initial release in 1998, People Under The Stairs, or “The P” as they are referred to by their fans, have performed over a thousand sold out shows, festivals and world tours spanning 6 continents and 40 countries. With a pioneering DIY ethic, they have self produced 9 full-length LPs & countless singles and side projects. The musical sensibility punctuating their unique style of hip-hop has earned them the title “The Steely Dan of Rap Music” as well as consistent critical acclaim and numerous appearances on the Billboard Charts.

Their extraordinary career includes an appearance on The Simpson’s 20th Anniversary Special, a John Peele Session at Abbey Road, and groundbreaking performances at festivals such as Glastonbury, Coachella and Bonaroo, the last of which SPIN magazine noted as “Simply the best performance of Friday... Period”. As part of their 10 year Anniversary World Tour in 2009, People Under The Stairs travelled to new continents with sold out shows in China, Brazil and Africa and main stage plays at Outside Lands Festival, Governors Ball NYC and many others. In 2013 the P completed sold out tours with Mac Miller and Girl Talk before returning to the studio to work on their 9th album, 12 Step Program, released in May of 2014 to widespread fan and critical acclaim.

Now, 17 years since the inception of the group and on the eve of their tenth project, the duo turned legend reflect on the path less traveled and distill their unique blend of funk - a style recognized by fans and critics alike as a genre unto itself - into a series of 6 song EP's that punctuate their decades long journey to finally arrive at The Gettin' Off Stage.
Thanksgiving Brown - (Set time: 8:00 PM)
Thanksgiving Brown
Thanksgiving Brown, a rather unassuming DJ has performed and collaborated with innumerable artists in every conceivable venue the pantheon of modern music has to offer.
While no stuffy traditionalist, he favors all-vinyl sets of both new and old material, using
the physicality of the records for his work-out like performances.

With more than 20 years strong DJing on club stage, radio and studio, he's engaged
a wide ranging audience both as a headliner and aside hip-hop legends De La Soul and Cypress Hill, Dancehall icons Damien Marley and Sizzla, as with modern producer deities in Hudson Mohawke and Dam-Funk.

Some may recall his seminal record label, Female Fun, where he executive produced memorable albums from the likes of MF Doom and Prince Paul. Yes, he has been imperative to the careers of countless musicians but if he's to be remembered for anything it'll be what he started as, a great DJ.
Melina Jones - (Set time: 9:00 PM)
Melina Jones
Melina Jones sports a double life: Graphic Designer by day, Wordsmith come night … all beautifully sculpted from a body of experiences, creative inheritances, and pure courage. Her delivery assaults listeners with maximum impact and multi-faceted content, replete with lyrical prowess. Floating from hardcore lioness, to sweet-hearted lamb at the speed of sound, San Francisco's native daughter has every intension of softly brutalizing—AND saving you at the same time.

Accruing over 10 years as a craftswoman in the rap game has generated a performance roster with legendary Hip-Hop artists, including Redman, DJ Premier (Gang Starr), Pep Luv (Hieroglyphics) and Spinderella (Salt-n-Pepa), to name a few. With roots planted in San Francisco, Jones' dexterity as a Mistress of Ceremonies informed her full-length debut album entitled "SWEARING OFF BUSTERS", which seduced a ton of fanatics back in 2007, anointing her as one of The Bay Area's most beloved and sought after MCs.

Jones is currently crafting her sophomore album, "HEROINE", dropping Spring 2014. Thanks to her father's influence (local Soul/Jazz vocalist Ernest East), song-writing and lyricism are embossed in her chromosomes. Joined by the design process, our confidently-humble lyricist leads her audience to a destination of talents, while exhibiting her gifts amidst the dead space of sonic mediocrity: well-crafted lyrics immersed in critical thought and fervent passion, delivered with conviction and intent. Stage presence? An energy that is positively infectious.
