Kill the Academy - (Set time: 9:00 PM)
Kill the Academy
Kill The Academy is a 5 piece rock band from Los Angeles, CA. Formed in the summer of 2003 by guitarist Kyle Peters in North Carolina, Kill The Academy has had a many line-up changes, but finally settled in with drummer Michael Thomas, singer Mao, bassist Zac Edwards and guitarist Sean de La Tour. Kill The Academy started 2011 by releasing their debut EP The Taking, recorded and produced by themselves and remains an independent project.

In order to avoid being a product of your own environment, you must do what is necessary to stand out. For a Los Angeles rock band, this proves to be a task nothing short of Impossible. Kill the Academy has made the exception, and is raising the bar musically and interactively with their new EP The Taking which is currently being supported by heavy live appearances around the Los Angeles area, with cross country touring soon to follow. www.killtheacademy.com
Dead End Amelia - (Set time: 10:00 PM)
Dead End Amelia
Armed with a penchant for 90's rock, pensive female singers, scotch, and timeless songs, long-time close friends Dean Dichoso and Krista Lee needed to tell their own stories of love, rejoice, and anger (otherwise kept secret) their own way. . . unadulterated but safely under the guise of their songwriting. Both writing music and penning lyrics, they started an alternative/hard-rock band, and Dead End Amelia was born in 2008. DEA attracts fans of bands like Deftones, Flyleaf, A Perfect Circle, and Helmet. The cast includes good friends, Craig Guidry on drums, and Los Salcedo on bass.

Dead End Amelia, an alternative hard rock band some may describe as "Art-Rock," most likely due to the band's hard rock, metallic sound with progressive ventures into ambient, even urbanesque trip-hop and alternative-indie. DEA has released 2 EP's to date, There's a Bright Side to All of This (2010), and The Point of No Return (2011).

The band is steadily attracting the hearts of new fans by the day due to their prolific release of new media materials like high-quality rehearsal videos and new music at a quick pace between larger releases. DEA has been seeing fan bases gathering in large numbers to sold-out and nearly sold-out audiences in their local Los Angeles scene. DEA is currently working on their third EP to be released in the fall of 2011.
Absence of a Hero - (Set time: 6:30 PM)
Absence of a Hero
Tony Conte and Tas Szemeredi continued writing music together after their previous band Lead Pipe Logic had broken up.
The two were just writing with acoustic guitars at the time and were unsure of the line up for there new project. Tas started singing to some of the ideas they had put together and felt comfortable with this task since he was once the lead vocalist and back vocalist in earlier projects. Recently Tony and Tas have a brought in Josh Corey to play drums. Absence of a Hero is continuing to perform in the southern California area and in June of 2011 had released there first single "Elevating" for your streaming pleasure... These fine musicians look forward to rocking the state of California in the near future and shortly after that... THE REST OF THE WORLD!!!!

Vas Defrans
Fusing industrial, progressive, and rock influences, Vas Defrans is a force to be reckoned with. With an undeniable presence and keen musicianship, Vas Defrans’ Cary Singer (guitarist), Max Whipple (bassist), Vincent Coleman (vocalist), Dash Le Francis (guitarist), and Kane Richotte (drummer) bring intellect and an organic sense of creativity to their music.

Vas Defrans recently completed their first Self-titled EP chronicling their journey as musicians and writers over the past two years. Having worked with Noah Shain and his production team, Vas recorded at White Buffalo Studios in Echo Park, working cohesively to create a sound that was relevant, different, and reflective of the uninhibited nature that is Vas Defrans.

Vas Defrans seeks to inspire a new generation of musicians and connect with each and every fan that is touched by their music. The guitars, drums, and microphones are their platforms but the fans and support are what keeps the creativity flowing.

With the release of their Self-titled EP in January and the world at their fingertips, Vas Defrans, along with their fans known as the VasArmy, plan to take the world by storm in 2012.
