Sick Puppies - (Set time: 10:00 PM)
The band was formed by singer/lead guitarist Shimon Moore and bassist Emma Anzai in the music room of Mosman High School in 1997, where the two connected because of their shared love for Silverchair. Initially with Shimon on drums and Emma on guitars, the duo would frequently meet up in their high school band room to play Green Day, Rage Against the Machine and Silverchair songs and eventually felt compelled to write their own material. When Chris Mileski joined the band to play drums, they became the Sick Puppies. Shimon Moore came up with the band name after consulting with his father and seeing a large number of people reading the book Sick Puppy by Carl Hiaasen. Emma Anzai took up a job as a telemarketer and Shimon took a job holding a sandwich board in the Pitt Street Mall in Sydney, Australia. Through their own financing and with help from Shimon's father (a musician and producer), the band released their debut EP Dog's Breakfast.
Janus - (Set time: 9:15 PM)
Janus is an American hard rock band based out of Chicago, Illinois. They were formed in 2004 and are signed to REALID/ILG Records. Their unique sound mixes heavy rock with non-traditional rock instruments, such as auxiliary percussion, and electronic sounds. The band has gained popularity on rock radio stations across the U.S. due to their single "Eyesore," and has toured with such bands as Sick Puppies, Sevendust, Breaking Benjamin, and Chevelle.
Art of Chaos makes music to dream to. Vocalist Brian Torres describes the sound best. “Its anthemic alt rock meets confessional pop… a fusion of ethereal elements with mainstream rock." With the release of the latest EP Dreams, Art of Chaos is making waves in the SoCal music scene. The band has shared the stage with such heavyweights as Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, and Taking Back Sunday. They are also winners of MTV2's L.A. Battle Projekt and recipients of two L.A. Music Awards including Performer of the Year. Art of Chaos' fan base continues to expand due to its strong online presence and infectious live shows.
