Relax to Paris - (Set time: 10:00 PM)
LIKE A FINE WINE, really...Relax to Paris today is the culmination of a long and laborious search for "The Sound". Frontman, singer, main songwriter, guitarist, and all around great guy Ryan had the vision and persistance to keep the RTP dream alive amidst frequent personnel changes, as well as some very high highs and some very low lows. That was until lifelong friend Garrett took up the helm of bottom-endskeeper, sharing in Ryan's vision and helping to achieve Relax to Paris's dinstinctively unique yet comfortably familiar sonority. Another uncanny twist of fate brought Kathryn into the fold. An established singer/songwriter in her own write, Kat fell right in stride with the direction of the music, lending her rich vocals and melodic keyboards to complete the RTP Sound.
As you allow yourself to get pulled in the dramatic sounds of Relax To Paris, you’ll find it’s bigger than a young boy’s vision of becoming an astronaut sailing through the stars. It’s the soundtrack to our lives. Stories of friends, lovers, and loss seep through the cinematic instrumentation of layered guitars, pianos, voices, and driving rhythms of bass and drums. Their catchy melodies and gigantic choruses stick to your soul like everlasting flavored bubble gum.

The Ivy Walls - (Set time: 11:00 PM)
They're named after a particularly cinemtaic image - The Ivy Walls, an evocative handle that suggests separation, beauty, higher education, and the union between the natural and the artificial. The music has a film-like quality too; it's dreamy, lush, and as romantic as a Hollywood score. The Ivy Walls call their sophomore album "The Elegant Universe", and it's an apt title: this is the sort of set that invites listeners to lose themselves in waves of glorious sound. The band has been likened to other adventurous sonic landscapers: Death Cab For Cutie, Wilco, The Stone Roses, and Broken Social Scene. These comparisons certainly aren't misleading, but The Ivy Walls have developed a musical and visual aesthetic all their own.
Unsurprisingly, their music has drawn attention from filmmakers and television programmers. The spirited "Faster Faster", the kickoff cut from the debut album "Lovers In Hotels", scored a recent episode of USA Network's hit comedy series Royal Pains. "Halloween", another Ivy Walls favorite, was featured on The Real World Hollywood; The Real World Sydney aired the "Lovers in Hotels" title track. "The Elegant Universe" promises to please Hollywood just as bit as much - every one of it's twelve tracks feels like the perfect accompaniament for a dramatic scene. But make no mistake - The Ivy Walls is no studio-only act. They've become one of the most popular live attractions in the Los Angeles underground, and they've made a major contribution to the city's pop resurgence."

Fight From Above - (Set time: 9:15 PM)
"We hate L.A., we love L.A. It's similar to how we feel about our own lives," says Justin Miner, lead singer for Los Angeles based indie-pop/rock outfit Fight From Above. "We wanted to try to capture that feeling on the record and claim the parts of the city we love for our own."
Judging by their debut full-length L.A. Kids, they have undoubtedly carved a distinct niche for themselves in the crowded Southern California music scene. Equal parts insightful lyrics, crafted pop hooks, and propulsive energy - Fight From Above manages to combine many disparate influences while still sounding cohesive, and yet also not quite like anything you've heard. Some elements suggest comparisons to bands like The Kooks, Phoenix, and Hot Hot Heat, while others suggest Death Cab For Cutie, The Shins or Modest Mouse.
