Clairy Browne & The Bangin' Rackettes - (Set time: 10:00 PM)
Clairy Browne & The Bangin' Rackettes
Clairy Browne and her harmonising girl group The Bangin' Rackettes formed in 2009 over a mutual love of nineties dance videos, early soul records and big hair. They teamed up with a group of rogue musicians and started rehearsing and recording in a barely standing ex-coffin factory in the suburbs of Melbourne, which quickly became the musical home to this young band.

Over the last few years, Clairy and co have been bringing their imaginative concotion of soul, surf and rhythm n' blues to fans all over the world, having recently toured to Japan and Europe and played their first U.S. shows to sold-out crowds in Los Angeles and New York City.

Clairy Browne and the Bangin' Rackettes debut album, Baby Caught the Bus was in the making for two years and was produced by Steve Schram (Public Enemy, Little Red, The Cat Empire, Eagle and the Worm). Baby Caught the Bus moves effortlessly from tough, hip hop tinged soul single Love Letter to the heart-wrenching doo-wop of Far Too Late, the drunken pianos and party hysteria of Frankie and lynchian moodiness of Yellow Bird. This collection of songs is delivered with lush vocal harmonies and a forceful rhythm section, with Clairy's big soul voice and the horns leading the procession.

"This band has it all: good songs, a powerful frontwoman who takes the music dead-serious but laughs easily at herself (she pondered aloud how much fun it would be to see the audience end every song in the set with a dramatic gesture like she does), not to mention irresistible visuals. There's no reason why they couldn't be as popular over here as, say, Sharon Jones or Bettye LaVette." NEW YORK MUSIC DAILY
Pony Boy - (Set time: 9:15 PM)
Pony Boy
Pony Boy's gravel-riddled tunes have been coined, "Junkyard Country," with "smokey vocals that could rival Cat Power…channeling the romance of Patsy Cline, the blues of Gram Parsons and the balladry of Tom Waits."

Channeling a myriad of influences from early rhythm and blues, Americana, soul and doom-wop, Pony Boy recorded her upcoming debut LP with producer John Would (Fiona Apple, Warren Zevon, Wanda Jackson) mostly in one-take performances between beers and Mexican food in Echo Park.
Sweetwater & The Satisfaction - (Set time: 8:30 PM)
Sweetwater & The Satisfaction
Four people from four different walks of life doing their best to make some killer music together. Sweetwater & the Satisfaction are a chick with crazy vocals from Arizona, a very tall handsome mandrummer from Nashville, a funkyhippiebassman from the OC, and a paranoid Jewish mastermind who does everything else from NY. Despite their differences and their whiteness, they come together and make some soulful freakin’ music. There are moments of rock, moments of pop, & moments of the blues…but each moment is really good.
