Acidic - (Set time: 10:45 PM)

The hardest-working, hottest young rock band in Southern California - ACIDIC - is at it again! They’ve just wrapped up a major career milestone with a hit two-month national tour with the multi-platinum-selling Seattle-based powerhouse Candlebox. The tour through the East Coast and Upper Midwest including the Florida Music Festival was their biggest and hottest yet! This crowns a hugely successful Spring touring season that included their smash Midwestern tour with Fuel, and featured appearances at SXSW ’12, which confirmed their stature as a national touring band.
ACIDIC, which Alternative Press said “Rocks like Funeral Party, Cage the Elephant, Young the Giant,” consists of lead singer/guitarist Michael Gossard, bassist Ted Dubrawski, guitarist/backup vocalist Michael Thompson, and drummer Matt Whitaker.
Last fall, ACIDIC unleashed their latest album, the highly-anticipated “Chronic Satisfaction,” to wild and enthusiastic response! The CD, produced by multi-platinum award-winning producer John Ryan (Styx, Santana, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers, etc) of Chicago Kid Productions. The strength of “Chronic Satisfaction” inspired Music Reviews to name ACIDIC one of its “12 Bands To Watch in 2012,” and the steamy video of the single "Uninspired" has become a Youtube sensation. They've also toured with Alien Ant Farm, Hawthorne Heights, Filter, Marcy Playground, and The Higher. They’ve also toured Kosovo and Germany, rocking US troops with Armed Forces Entertainment.
In addition to their smash tours, ACIDIC has also played such prestigious gigs as the 2012 Winter NAMM Show at the Anaheim Convention Center, SXSW ’10 and ‘11, two Sunset Strip Music Festivals, and Bamboozle Left. ACIDIC won the Alternative category in the 18th Billboard WorldWide Song Contest in 2011 for their power rocker “Strata Red,” off their 2010 CD “Getting Lucky.”

That Noise - (Set time: 10:00 PM)

Misfits from outer space here to make you move.
For the last year, That Noise has been winning over the admiration and respect of music lovers worldwide, and with their latest release, a remake of the Kings of Leon's hit Sex on Fire, burning up college airwaves in the US and abroad, this dynamic group is well on their way to massive success. As buzzbandsla writer Kevin Bronson puts it: " L.A. quartet That Noise has taken a little of the denim out of Kings of Leon's ubiquitous hit "Sex on Fire" and replaced with a bit of latex". Numerous other listeners have also concurred: "I like it even better than the original, It's sexier!" Their masterful blend of Rock, Electro and Pop has taken on the otherworldly form of something which can only be described as "ELECTROCK" A seamless fusion of the aforementioned genres.
Within their arsenal you will discover Blistering guitars, Thundering drums, Melodic synths, Passionate lyrics and Electrifying performances. That Noise has been spreading seeds across the globe and igniting fires in the hearts and minds of those who wish to release themselves from the bonds of mental, physical and financial slavery. Their dedication was seen recently when they performed in 2010 Sundance film festival, SXSW, Vans 5th annual Battle for Warped Tour, SCU Band Slam sponsored by LA WEEKLY and Fords Gimme The Gig campaign. They are on a mission to eradicate mediocrity of thought and develop a new generation of soldiers dedicated to freeing minds and breaking down boundaries. Throw up your fists and MAKE SOME NOISE…That Noise.
In addition they are inspired by theories such as Aliens, and interdimensional beings.

thatwasthen - (Set time: 9:15 PM)
One word. Lower case. thatwasthen. A band born and bred on the Southern California music scene, TWT has held residencies and rocked famous clubs of LA’s Sunset Strip including the House of Blues, the Key Club, the Whisky-a-go-go and the The Viper Room. They’ve gigged and toured with artists like as Marcy Playground, Fountains of Wayne, and even Shwayze.
With influences from the 50's to the 90's, thatwasthen combines a love for soul-shaking rock and blues with a masterfully modern sensibility. Their lyrics move seamlessly from literary reference to the unpretentious rock vernacular, but always with cleverly crafted imagery or a strategic tug. The overall effect is lightning in a can– a thousand kilowatts of raw energy packaged into a palpably energetic live show.
thatwasthen is "for those rockers nostalgic of the past, and yet, compliant to the musical condition of the present. Inspired by Led Zeppelin, the Doors, and Jimi Hendrix, this fivesome is bringing back the vintage vibes of notorious guitar heroes who set the standards of genuine rock n’ roll. This melodic, up-and-coming band is showing that they’re not playing music for the fame or the fortune, but rather, exploring the subtleties of human consciousness, poetic introspection, and the meaning of life." ~ Meets Obsession Magazine

Albert Garrett and the Bad Romantics - (Set time: 8:30 PM)

A resurgence of rock is brewing out on the Southern California coastline, as the Bad Romantics are preparing to launch their inaugural album 'Hooked' onto music fans across the country. Spearheaded by upstart guitarist and songwriter extraordinaire Albert Garrett, the four man alternative rock unit is pooling their extensive touring and writing experience together for their debut record, Hooked. Supported by a crystal clear talent for hit making and a booming musical IQ, the Bad Romantics are poised to become one of the sensations of 2012.
Loosely formed by Garrett and fellow seasoned Los Angeles rockers Jonny Udell and Jeffrey Covey in summer 2010, the group began to progress into its current shape as initial demo tracks came together. After adding bassist and backup singer Eliot Lorango along with Jason Achilles Mezilis as their mastermind producer/engineer and second guitarist, the Bad Romantics became Garrett’s full-time project in early 2011. Creating a mix of classic rock n’ roll with alternative and indie rock, the Bad Romantics combine influences ranging from Tom Petty to Third Eye Blind and The Black Keys to develop their finely tuned sound.
A songwriter to the core with a stunning passion for the guitar, Garrett has performed alongside international sensations such as Jet, CKY and Fuel, while co-writing a number of tracks for major artists throughout the music industry. His talented pen helped ink “Talking to the Moon” from Bruno Mars’ breakout record Doo-Wops and Hooligans, Cobra Starship’s “Fool like Me,” and Warner Drive’s most recent single, “Faking Smiles.”
The rest of the group illustrates a veritable “who’s who” of the local LA rock scene, having appeared with bands such as OWL, The Knives, Skyler Stonestreet, Matt Toka, Hydrovibe, Them Terribles and many more. While Garrett himself has more than 500 shows under his belt, each distinct member of the team brings their own unique set of skills to the table, all owning considerable US and international tour experience.
With the triumphant foursome pouring their efforts into the summer debut of Hooked, and Mezilis behind the controls, the Bad Romantics already have their formula for success in 2012 mapped out. Mastered by Shelly Yakus (Tom Petty, John Lennon and U2), the first single “By the sea” will light the fuse on this inevitable musical explosion, and is locked and loaded for release through digital retailers this spring.
Garrett and the Bad Romantics are seeking to pack their calendars with show dates as well, scheduling more follow up performances to their recent showcase at the iconic Viper Room in 2012. Get a tantalizing taste of this upcoming LA sensation with streaming audio on their official MySpace, ReverbNation or Facebook pages, and keep your eyes peeled for the official release of “By the sea” and Hooked this year.
