Milo Greene - (Set time: 10:00 PM)

Milo Greene are cinematic indie-popsters from Los Angeles, comprised
of Robbie Arnett, Andrew Heringer, Marlana Sheetz, Graham Fink and
Curtis Marrero. Arnett, Heringer, and Sheetz met in college, where
they created a fictional character known as Milo Greene, sending out
emails in his name to promote their creative endeavors. After college,
and various musical projects of their own, Arnett, Heringer, and Sheetz
reunited at their very own song-writing retreat at a cabin in the Sierra
Nevada Mountains, directly overlooking a lake, completely secluded
from the background disturbances of big city life. Here, removed from
any day-to-day conveniences like television or the internet, they began
writing and composing their music. As the songs came together, Fink
and Marrero were enticed to join and the entity known as Milo Greene
came to life. The four voices of Milo Greene’s members weave and
blend into one voice, creating songs that live and breathe with the
range of an omniscient, collective consciousness. Their music functions
like that of a symphony, with each voice and instrument standing
strong on its own but coming together to create something beautiful,
transcendent, and ethereal.
“The music of the new L.A. quintet blends two-, three-and four-part
harmonies, serpentine folk-pop melodies and agitated beats into songs
that rejoice a little, ache a little and leave sepia-toned images in your
head when they’re through,” said Buzzbands.la while NPR noted: “Milo
Greene makes folk-tinged music with perfectly blended male-female
harmonies, but they marry that sound with thunderous live drums and
infectious sing along choruses.”
Milo Greene have toured with the likes of The Civil Wars, Grouplove,
and The Belle Brigade; are signed to Chop-Shop/Atlantic Records; and
are in the process of finishing the recording of their debut album which
was recorded at Bear Creek Studios outside of Seattle. The as-yetuntitled
debut, which the members of Milo Greene co-produced with
Ryan Hadlock (Ra Ra Riot, Stephen Malkumus, The Gossip), will be
released in the summer of 2012, coinciding with the launch of an
extensive U.S. tour.

Little Hurricane - (Set time: 9:15 PM)

Based in Southern California, little hurricane is a dirty blues/rock outfit born by way of North Park, San Diego. The band was formed in early 2010 when guitarist Tone met drummer CC thru an ad on Craigslist. Oddly enough they both lived on the same street and had a similar background in jazz band. They found a common interest in unique and vintage equipment and a love of grimey, down and dirty blues. An old nightstand transformed into a speaker cabinet, vintage lamps, and ratty suitcases turned instruments are just a few of the things you can expect to grace the stage alongside little hurricane. The band released their debut album HOMEWRECKER, in April of 2011,which was quickly followed by national radio play. A mere few months after the release or their self-produced album, little hurrican rocked the festival scene.with explosive performances at Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits. The band is currently touring the west coast, with plans of recording and touring extensively in 2012.
Harriet - (Set time: 8:30 PM)

Alex Casnoff was the keyboard player for some serious LA bands, Dawes and PAPA, but he was really a songwriter. Casnoff needed to do his own thing so he introduced the world to Harriet in the fall of 2011. The band's debut EP, Tell The Right Story, is filled with murder ballads, dreams and memories about messed up people pushing forward no matter what. There is an anxious optimism and a deep dark sense of humor that bleeds through each of the five songs. There is no way out. You will never get there. But there is no excuse for giving up. A fate, accepted and then ignored.
The EP straddles the line between classic American songs and the sonic experimentation of electronic music. The band continues to delve deeper into this contrast, and that's what's most exciting about Harriet. At every show, and with every new song, they get closer to codifying the Electronic-American sound.
Harriet's music is evolving into something familiar, filtered through a dream. Songs that strive to live comfortably within the distorted memory, and take no stock in chasing the past. The anti-nostalgia. The music's repetition, groove, and build come from minimalism and dance music, and that mixed with their slightly crooked American rock songs and alluring hooks, equals something that is both emotionally and physically satisfying. Harriet is a band that starts with a good song, but makes fucking it up a priority.
Go see them live. They take chances, precisely altering any and every song completely, making their experience as fresh as ours. Expect the unexpected. Hear the unheard. See the unseen, and be the unbean...
Alex Casnoff, sings and plays Guitar and Keyboards. Aaron Folb plays electric and synth bass. Henry Kwapis plays drums, percussion and SPD. Adam Gunther plays Guitar.
